Our manufacturing methods allow us to maintain full control over the manufacturing process to assure a high quality bond is achieved. We work primarily with the following material combinations:

  • Aluminum/Steel
  • Aluminum/Stainless Steel
  • Aluminum/Copper

We utilize proprietary interlayer technologies to assure that our bonds are of the highest quality. Triclads with titanium, chromium, and other metals are available. More exotic metal combinations will be considered on a case by case basis. Spur will work with your systems engineers to evaluate possible combinations that will meet your design specifications. Our experience in working with a variety of metal combinations, interlayers, and machined configurations give us the expertise to meet your needs.


In addition to our standard product families, Spur maintains a machine shop to meet limited run custom application requirements when requested. The roll bonded interface in our clad products is consistently flatter and more uniform than explosion bonded claddings and this allows us to accurately locate the bond interface prior to machining. As a result, we are able to produce products to tighter tolerances and in smaller designs than other clad metal manufacturers.

We currently provide:

  • transition inserts, cast house molds and bottom blocks to the aluminum industry;
  • machined transition inserts to the refrigeration and heat exchanger industry;
  • customer specified fittings, fasteners, and connectors for plumbing and marine applications;
  • dissimilar metal interfaces for electrical connector applications; and,
  • robust connectors for transportation applications.


Spur operates out of company owned facilities in Spokane Washington. Comprising over 50,000 square feet, our facilities allow us to meet the needs of our customers, now and in the future.


We currently operate our business in accordance with the quality guidelines of ISO 9000. We are in the process of certifying our facility to ISO 9001-2008 and expect to complete our certification process in June 2012.
